WASHINGTON: A Pakistani newspaper daily Express has claimed the government will lift the emergency rule and added that President General Pervez Musharraf will announce the decision after his arrival from Saudi Arabia.
The paper adds the decision seems to be the result of immense pressure from the US, Commonwealth and European countries.
